Hyderabad, May 6: Congress MLC and Editor of the Siasat Urdu Daily Amer Ali Khan on Tuesday said that tackling the menace of fake news had become one of the biggest challenges for the media and government alike. 

Speaking at the Hybiz TV Media Awards 2025 at HICC, he delivered a candid and insightful address, reflecting on the transformation of the media landscape and the growing complexities of information dissemination in the digital era.

Amer Ali Khan, a regular guest at the Hybiz awards for several years, began his speech by extending his greetings and appreciating the platform for bringing together professionals from diverse fields. Recalling the history of the event, he mentioned that his father, veteran journalist Zahed Ali Khan, and senior media figure Ranga Reddy had received the Hybiz awards in earlier editions.
