Hyderabad, June 12, 2025:

A delegation led by former SETWIN President Ali Baqri met with Congress MLC Amer Ali Khan, expressing dissatisfaction over the absence of a Minority Minister in the newly formed Telangana Cabinet.

Ali Baqri pointed out that during the BRS government, Muslim leaders held key portfolios including the Deputy Chief Minister post, Revenue, and Home ministries. He criticized the Congress for what he described as “unfulfilled promises” to the minority community during the election campaign.

BRS leaders further accused MLC Amer Ali Khan of promoting the Congress campaign under the slogan “Achhe Din,” which, they claim, has led to “dark days” for Muslims, citing the lack of representation and voice in the current state cabinet.

The issue has reignited discussions around minority representation, political accountability, and the expectations set during the election season.
