Hyderabad, July 4:
In a vibrant celebration of local craftsmanship and culture, the Artisan Exhibition-cum-Sale Program was inaugurated today at the Ambedkar Statue premises, near the Telangana Secretariat and IMAX Theatre. The event brought together an impressive gathering of dignitaries, artisans, and visitors, marking a significant step towards promoting traditional arts and empowering local artisans.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, along with BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, MLC Amer Ali Khan, Minister Adluri Laxman, and Minister Vakati Srihari. The inauguration ceremony also witnessed the presence of several MLAs, MLCs, and senior government officers.
Speaking at the event, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted the government’s commitment to preserving the rich artisanal heritage of Telangana and ensuring economic upliftment of the artisan communities. “This platform not only celebrates our cultural identity but also provides a direct market to our skilled artisans,” he said.
The exhibition showcases a diverse range of handmade products including textiles, handlooms, handicrafts, pottery, metalwork, and local art, attracting attention from collectors and shoppers alike. The event also includes live demonstrations by artisans, offering visitors a glimpse into the intricate processes behind each craft.
The Artisan Exhibition-cum-Sale will remain open to the public for the next few days, inviting all Hyderabadis to experience and support the work of Telangana’s talented artisan community.
