Hyderabad, June 16, 2025:
Congress MLC Amer Ali Khan took part in a solemn programme hosted by the Consulate General of Turkiye in Hyderabad to mark the anniversary of the failed coup attempt in Turkiye, orchestrated by the FETO terror organisation.

The event aimed to honour the victims of the coup attempt and reaffirm international commitment to democratic values and constitutional governance.

Speaking on the occasion, Turkish Consul General Orhan Yalman Okaz reflected on the deep toll the attempted coup had taken on the nation. He emphasized that the perpetrators had deceptively presented themselves as a social and educational movement, while secretly working to undermine the state. He also urged other countries to remain vigilant against similar threats masquerading as civil initiatives.

MLC Amer Ali Khan expressed solidarity with the people of Turkiye, stating his firm stance against all forms of terrorism. He reaffirmed the importance of protecting democracy and supporting nations that stand for peace, stability, and justice.
