Hyderabad, June 15, 2025:
A delegation from the Muslim Women Adhoc Committee met Congress MLC Amer Ali Khan, urging his support in securing housing plots for landless women from economically weaker sections, particularly in Khammam.

The women highlighted the challenges of living in rented accommodations, rising expenses, and the lack of stable shelter, which they said directly impacts their dignity and well-being. They appealed to the MLC to intervene with the relevant state departments to help facilitate the allotment of house sites.

MLC Amer Ali Khan responded positively, assuring the delegation that their concerns would be taken up with urgency. He reiterated his commitment to women’s empowerment and minority welfare, stating, “Access to housing is a basic right, and I will do everything within my capacity to ensure that no deserving woman is left without a roof over her head.”

The delegation appreciated the MLC’s assurance and expressed hope for swift action.
