A crucial coordination meeting was held at the Telangana Secretariat to review preparations for the upcoming Muharram 2025 observances across the state. The meeting was chaired by senior government officials and attended by representatives from the police, GHMC, health department, minority welfare department, and other key civic bodies.

Congress MLC Janab Amer Ali Khan Sahab was also present and played an active role in the discussions. He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, communal harmony, and ensuring public safety during the sacred period. Amer Ali Khan urged departments to provide uninterrupted power supply, clean drinking water, efficient waste management, and emergency medical services near procession routes and important ashoorkhanas.

Muharram is not only a religious occasion but also a symbol of sacrifice, unity, and reflection. It is our duty to support the community with proper arrangements and respect their sentiments,” said MLC Amer Ali Khan during the meeting.

Security measures, traffic diversions, installation of CCTV cameras, and deployment of disaster response teams were also discussed. Officials agreed to conduct regular inspections of procession routes and ensure coordination among departments for a peaceful and dignified commemoration.

The Telangana government reaffirmed its commitment to facilitate a safe and respectful atmosphere for all communities during Muharram.
