Hyderabad, June 16:

A joint delegation representing the SC, ST, BC, and Minority Fronts has called for the resignation of MLC Amer Ali Khan, expressing deep dissatisfaction with the Congress-led government's failure to fulfill its promises made in the Minority Declaration.

The delegation criticized the government for not nominating even a single minister from the Muslim community, despite the overwhelming support extended by Muslim voters, particularly from various districts who chose to back the Congress — ignoring the MIM's influence and even clerical appeals.

“This is a betrayal of trust,” said a representative from the delegation. “The community voted for Congress with hope, but today, we are left with neither representation nor respect.”

The leaders demanded that Amer Ali Khan step down as a mark of protest and solidarity with the marginalized voices of the Muslim community.

They stated that the continued silence of elected representatives, despite such glaring injustice, is unacceptable and warned of intensifying their agitation if corrective measures are not taken immediately.
